Dance Workout Tours

Tired of the drab interior of your local gym? Mix it up this summer in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden with a special tour that’s part workout, part dance performance—designed for you to experience art while getting a good burn! All ages and abilities are welcome; wear sneakers and clothes to move in and get ready to get your groove on! 45 minutes. Meet at the Flatpak, near the Cowles Pavilion. Part of the Walker Free First Thursdays. 

Casket Dances

Travel through all levels of the Casket Arts Building in NE Minneapolis, and witness dance on each floor performed by Laurie van Wieren, Renée Copeland, and Annika Hansen & Abigail Whitmore. Our piece, Lapse, explores fluid identities: how we form and reform them, how our roles have multiplicities, and how our position with family changes.

Come see my work, "Tea Tang and Honey". Rhythmically speaking is a jazz and American vernacular dance supporting and presenting organization. The mission of Rhythmically Speaking is to revitalize jazz and rhythm-based dance forms in the Twin Cities, supporting its practitioners, educating its audiences, and celebrating its rich history while nurturing innovation through performance.
